A: We do not recommend pressure washing Sunbrella fabric. While pressure or power washing will often remove dirt, grime and mildew, the fact is that it will also displace some of these bacteria, often into the fabric promoting ongoing growth. It’s also possible to rip or tear the fabric if excessive pressure is used.
We suggest other methods of cleaning, like spot cleaning or machine washing to address a wide variety of stains. For more information, please contact us.
Q: Can I iron Sunbrella fabric?
A: Great question! It’s not uncommon for items such as drapery panels to be a little wrinkled when they are removed from their packaging. In most cases, wrinkles will relax out on their own. If not, you can use an iron set to the synthetic setting. Some irons exceed the recommended temperature on the synthetic setting so test a small inconspicuous area before ironing entire piece. Do not use a steamer or iron set to the steam setting.
