Details

Adrian Jackman is a contemporary painter who is based in Auckland, New Zealand. He was born in Te Kopuru in 1971 and he graduated in 1997 with a MFA from Auckland University's Elam School of Fine Arts. His paintings investigate the process of art making from a traditonal through to a technological perspective. He is interested in the multiple levels on which drawing and painting can operate on and pictorial systems found within everyday objects. He has exhibited in shows throughout New Zealand with works held in both public and private collections. Adrian chooses to use our high quality pre-primed 12oz canvas because it has a fine weave that resembles a quality linen. The cloth is easier to stretch than ordinary duck canvas and the surface is great for all painting styles especially detailed.
