Q. What is canvas?
A. Canvas is an extremely heavy-duty plain woven fabric used for making sails, tents, marquees, backpack, and other items for which sturdiness is required. It is also popularly used by artists as a painting surface, typically stretched across a wooden frame. It is also used in such fashion objects as handbags and shoes. Normally 100% from the cotton plant and nowadays mixed with polyesters and other man made fibres.

A. Yes. To increase the life of all outdoor materials we recommend covering them or storing them over the winter months. We can make outdoor furniture covers for you.
Q: Is it true that some Sunbrella colors fade faster than others?
A: Some colors are not as resilient as others since some pigments are stronger than others. That being said, all of our colors carry the same warranty – awning and marine fabrics have a 10 year limited warranty and upholstery fabrics have a five year limited warranty. Our Weatherometer testing simulates the effect of weather on the fabric and we provide that information to our fiber suppliers, requiring them to constantly look for the best pigment available. We are confident that your Sunbrella fabric will look beautiful for years to come – no matter the color – because we do extensive testing to ensure it can stand up to Mother Nature and everyday living.
